hello! i've been wanting to start this blog for sometime. i feel motivated and i'd like to share to goings on around here in an effort to... well, share but particularly without the help of a website i won't name and have been using a lot less lately. :)
so here it is. i took only a few pictures yesterday and so here they are. we had a great time and so did the kids! i love doing things with my family!
owen was a zombie (referenced from michael jackson's thriller music video) and marley has been deadset on being woody from toy story for weeks. the temptation of being a princess or even jessie from toy story didn't phase her.
they both loves socializing with each person that answered their door. however, they kept forgetting to say "trick or treat" and after they were given the treat we could hear them say "trick or treat and thank you". ha ha.
also while we were waiting to go door to door, owen spent his time on the street corner doing scary zombie poses for cars going by. he told sean that he wasn't too sure about his zombie costume until we painted his face (with diy homemade face paint made with vegetable shortening and other ingredients which started to melt a bit as the night went on). once we made it home he told us that he wants to be a zombie next year!!
marley was obsessed with the FAKE "boy stuck in the door". it was the same trick we saw last year... the home owners had taken an old pair of jeans and stuffed them with newspaper, stuck them from the knee down under their garage door, gave the jeans a pair of old shoes and presto, a trick my daughter will never forget!
they were the cutest.
