It's been a long while...

Yep.  I started this blog with intentions to document some of my children's childhood and I didn't get far.  Today I have a renewed motivation and I start with a sequence of Marley.  May is her month.  Her birthday is coming up and she will be turning 4!!  Her favorite things to do is hug her kitties, "make friends", be a big helper, recite lines from movies and songs and be with people!!  There's many more but those are what stick out to me at the time.  On occassion I help her get dressed but for the most part she picks out her own clothes.  Today I helped her.  She added the socks and shoes.  Sure I could have done her hair but.... Okay so I could more effort into the girly hair do's but I think she is cute and beautiful all by herself!!  I love you Marley Jo!

Photo Shoot!

She was stomping around in her dad's work boots
and by the time I got my camera they were off.
I had her put them back on for a picture.
So here she is modeling!

Another photo shoot.
She posed for me like this for a long time.
I have so many pictures from this session!

Owen wasn't interested in posing.
He was interested in his pizza!

Love those eyes!!

Christmas Cookies!

We had a lot of fun decorating these vegan cookies!  They were so tasty.  Some of the toppings were not vegan but we were just using what we had and the kids loved it!  Good memories!

GO BRONCOS!!!!!!

Charlie even got in on cheering for the Broncos!

Outdoors

Here are some fantastic shots I got on a little photo shoot I did outside in our backyard.  It was in November and the kids were surprisingly accepting of my impromptu photo shoot!  Yea! (These would be fun in black and white, too!)

Eating Out

We were so blessed to get to go out to eat in Denver at Watercourse Foods.  We enjoyed our meal after a nice morning of battling the crowds at free admission day at the Denver Art Museum.  It is a sustainable and vegetarian restaurant that serves tasty and responsible food!  Yum!  Great day!

I'm happy about my giant looking arms!

Looking SO amused!

January

Ok.  So my new goal is to post here about once each month.  We'll see how that goes.

So, it's a new year!  We toasted in 2012 with sleepy kids pulled out of bed and some organic sparkling apple juice.  It was just right.

Now that we are back into the swing of things after the holiday hustle and bustle,  I can have a little fun doing this sort of thing.

Owen and Marley just finished enjoying a surprisingly lengthy Broncos season.  Many tackles were made in our household!!  I know they will be itching for more come next fall!

Owen just lost his first tooth and got a whole $1 from the tooth fairy (name "Roy" as they call him in the movie "Santa Claus 2").  It was an exciting event!

Marley cannot wait to start soccer this fall.  It all she seems to talk about except if you count the many dialogues she has with herself as she recites lines from movies she knows.  Future actress?

Until then, I have reviewed our pictures from the last few months and found some I want to share.  So many in fact that I will break them up into several posts.

So enjoy the pictures, let me know what you think.  :)  This one is a silly one Marley and I took at my Grandma Chavez's birthday party!
